Sennheiser Stereo Headphones

The Sennheiser PX 100 headphones use dynamic supra-aural mini headphones and a slim, lightweight design to provide superior sound and Convenience to the traveler or outdoor users. Sennheiser’s duoful diaphragms with spiral embossing provide high-resolution sound, while the twin proximity technology creates crisp, fast bass response, helped by 80ppi Polyurethane and special perforated elements.

Supra-aural headphones-those that sit on the ear and create no seal around it-are easily the least popular type of headphone on the market these days. The Sennheiser PX100s are incredibly lightweight, are comfortable, and push out some impressive low end. An advantage of supra-aural headphones is that, because they’re not creating a seal around the ear, they do not need to be tightly Secured, and because they’re not in-ear, they do not pull down on your ears with the weight of the cable. The engineers did a nice job with the low-end frequency (or “bass”) performance. Often, when a pair of headphones does not create a seal and rests lightly against the ear itself, bass performance leaves something to be desired. Yet the PX100 delivered Thom Yorke’s incredibly bass-resonant Cymbal Rush with a nice amount of push in the lower frequencies. Headphones while sitting on your ears are not sending sound waves to your living room wall and back, they’re also not crammed into your ear canal and can offer a more natural spatial representation of sound than many SEALED, in-ear pairs can.
If you prefer headphones to earphones, want something lightweight to take with you, and do not mind the idea of your music leaking to other people’s ears (maybe you’re not afraid to admit your obsession Debbie Gibson), the Sennheiser PX100s are a great buy.
